ABOUT OUR SHOP
Since 2016 we have been organizing sewing lessons in our own sewing workshop. Currently, 30 young women, both live-in mothers and girls from the neighbourhood, are being trained there. Once they have enough skills, they can complete assignments for customers to save their own money. In this sewing workshop, the students also make a number of items that are sold in our Mama Lufuma shop to give them a boost.
However, not all our items are made in Congo, due to the high travel costs / travel time of the required materials and products themselves and also for ecological reasons. That's why some of the products are made by our Belgian team. But don't worry, every euro we earn goes to our girls!
